FAQ’s

What happens if I want to change my course level?

If you feel that the initial course that you enrol in is either too easy or too hard, you can feel free to change at any time, you just have to speak with the Didactic Director. It is important for us that you are happy with the level and rate of progress in class.

How much Italian can I expect to learn during the courses?

As all our courses are specifically planned to the CEFR guidelines for the respective level, and all Italian language lessons are held in Italian language, you can be sure you will learn a great deal.

What teaching method is used?

Classes are taught in Italian and students are politely dissuaded from speaking English in class, if not completely necessary. All four language skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) are explored in class, although most emphasis is placed on speaking and listening through a communicative approach. Written work is usually done as homework and checked by the teacher as a group exercise.

What kinds of activities does the school organize?

We organize beginning of the year orientation outings in Rovigo for our in-person students! We also hope to offer various conversation-aperitivos after class to provide more opportunity for speaking practice in a leisurely way.

Does Italian Citizenship School offer assistance for my citizenship application?

If you require citizenship assistance for your application via Marriage or Residency, our official partner, Italian Citizenship Assistance (ICA) would be happy to help. They are leading specialists in the field for the past 10 years.
